I root it and <a href=\"https:\/\/wiki.mobileread.com\/wiki\/PRST1_Rooting_and_Tweaks\">unlock Android<\/a> on it. Everything works fine, but one day I set up PIN lock using standart Android settings. There is allowed use 16 digits PIN. OK I set up 5 digits. Problems start when device locked up. <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Unlocking screen allow only 4 digits PIN entry<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>So I try find out how disable PIN, finally I found it. There is a manual how disable lock.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Reboot your device using sharp pencil, hold Home + Menu button and power up device (<a title=\"Boot into Recovery Console\" href=\"http:\/\/wiki.mobileread.com\/wiki\/PRST1_Rooting_and_Tweaks#Boot_into_Recovery_Console\">http:\/\/wiki.mobileread.com\/wiki\/PRST1_Rooting_and_Tweaks#Boot_into_Recovery_Console<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>On Windows should be needed to install <a title=\"Gadget Serial v2.4 driver\" href=\"http:\/\/catalog.update.microsoft.com\/v7\/site\/ScopedViewRedirect.aspx?updateid=e078c85e-f09b-486f-bd75-f526e81e2d16\">drivers.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>After this continue following steps written in link<\/li>\n<li>Start Putty on COM port which you found in computer management<\/li>\n<li>Press Enter key and log in using username root<\/li>\n<li>Now cd to \/tmp<\/li>\n<li>Insert microSD card to your device<\/li>\n<li>Use following code to mount \/data and sdcard partition<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><code><br \/>\nmkdir sd<br \/>\nmkdir data<br \/>\nmount \/dev\/mmcblk0p1 sd<br \/>\nmount \/dev\/mmcblk2p9 data<br \/>\ncp data\/data\/com.android.providers.settings\/databases\/settings.db sd\/settings.db<br \/>\numount sd<br \/>\n<\/code><\/p>\n<ol start=\"9\">\n<li>Now you should have your settings.db on sdcard<\/li>\n<li>Connect sdcard to another pc and use SQLite DB editor (for Win for example <a title=\"SQLite Database Browser Portable\" href=\"http:\/\/portableapps.com\/apps\/development\/sqlite_database_browser_portablehttp:\/\/\">SQLite Database Browser Portable<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>Open settings.db in app and in Execute SQL entry<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><code><br \/>\nupdate secure set value=0 where name='lockscreen.password_salt';<br \/>\nupdate secure set value=0 where name='lockscreen.password_type';<br \/>\n<\/code><\/p>\n<ol start=\"12\">\n<li>And execute query<\/li>\n<li>Save file and close aplication, disconect you sdcard and put it back into your device<\/li>\n<li>Get bact to Putty and entry<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><code><br \/>\nmount \/dev\/mmcblk0p1 sd<br \/>\ncp data\/data\/com.android.providers.settings\/databases\/settings.db settings.db_bak<br \/>\ncp sd\/settings.db data\/data\/com.android.providers.settings\/databases\/settings.db<br \/>\numount sd<br \/>\nreboot<br \/>\n<\/code><\/p>\n<ol start=\"15\">\n<li>Device should reboot and lockscreen disappear<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Thats it, it looks more difficult than it realy it<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sorry to all Czech readers, but this article should be primary in English.
