🍾 Billecart-Salmon Brut Rosé — Champagne
An elegant pink Champagne Dry, not sweet.
"Iconic dry rosé Champagne from a top family house. Very pale, elegant colour with fine, creamy bubbles. Fresh strawberry and raspberry flavours, clean, dry finish. Perfect for celebrations, romantic occasions, or with sushi and seafood."
What it is
Champagne, France. A true Brut Rosé — pale salmon pink, bone-dry, and built on finesse rather than sugar.
Billecart-Salmon has been family-owned since 1818. This is their rosé: iconic, restrained, and universally recognised as the benchmark for the style. Not a "party pink." Not sweet. Just precision, grace, and quiet complexity.
The blend
Predominantly Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, with a small amount of still red wine added for that signature delicate colour and red-fruit depth. The result is structure and fragrance — rare in a rosé.
What it tastes like
In the glass: very pale salmon. Almost porcelain.
On the nose: fresh strawberry and raspberry, lifted citrus, light florals. A touch of brioche underneath — the mark of quality, patient ageing.
On the palate: light, fresh, silky. Fine creamy bubbles carry flavours of red berries, citrus, and a hint of stone fruit. A gentle biscuit-mineral note underneath. Dry, clean, refined finish.
This is not a rosé that relies on sweetness to please. It is elegant, subtle, and serious — pretty, but with backbone.
When to open it
-
Aperitif — when you want something beautiful in the glass
-
Sushi, salmon, tuna, prawns, light Asian dishes, charcuterie
-
Date nights, anniversaries, Valentine's, weddings — any moment that calls for something quietly romantic
-
For whisky drinkers who prefer delicate, perfumed styles (Japanese whisky, lighter Speysides) — the red-fruit finesse will feel familiar
