A practical and characterful set of four converted Ercol elm stools, originally made from Ercol chairs that were beyond repair. The backs have been professionally removed, with the seats sanded back and oiled to bring out the lovely elm grain and peg detail.

These make brilliant occasional seating around a coffee table, fireside, in a playroom, kitchen, studio or for extra guests when needed. They also tuck neatly under a table when not in use, which makes them very handy where space is tight.

The shaped elm seats have plenty of natural grain movement and variation, while the darker legs keep that classic mid-century Ercol look. A useful, decorative set with a proper lived-in feel.

Condition:

Good solid vintage condition overall. The backs have been removed and the seats have been sanded and oiled. There are age-related marks, knocks, scuffs and signs of previous use throughout, particularly to the legs and edges, all in keeping with their history and reuse. Structurally sound and ready to use.
