Some studio days begin with scissors and a spark of curiosity. Quilted Memories was born on one such afternoon—part play, part accident, part delight. We started by unpicking patches of fabric, unsure what we’d find. Sometimes a bold colour peeked through; other times, a whisper of texture. The fabric seemed to hold its quiet history—resisting, yielding, then revealing something unexpected. It felt like a game—pulling, tugging, occasionally making mistakes, only to be surprised by what emerged. This wasn’t a traditional quilt, but something more emotional, layered with pauses, laughter, and the thrill of discovery.
